Welcome

APS CUWiP at Texas Christian University

Texas Christian University, in cooperation with Tarrant County College and Texas Wesleyan University, is excited to host a regional CUWiP in 2023. The conference will be held Friday, January 20 – Sunday, January 22, 2023.

APS Conferences for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) are three-day regional conferences for undergraduate physics majors.

The goal of APS CUWiP is to help undergraduate women continue in physics by providing them with the opportunity to experience a professional conference, information about graduate school
and professions in physics, and access to other women in physics of all ages with whom they can share experiences, advice, and ideas. The national and local organizing committees of APS CUWiP strive to create a welcoming environment for all, including undergraduate women and gender minorities.

The CUWiP conferences are held at no cost to the undergraduate students. The conference will cover the cost of lodging and meals. Traditionally, the home institution covers the cost of travel, but there are a limited amount of travel grants available. CUWiP has become incredibly popular. In order to maximize the number of CUWiP participants we can accommodate, we will allocate participants to sites based on travel logistics and site capacity. Please do not purchase travel tickets or plan to be at a specific site until you receive an email confirming you have been accepted to a specific CUWiP site. Conferences will be held at the following sites in 2023:

The application deadline for this year’s CUWiP is 5:00pm EST on Monday, October 31, 2022.. Applications open August 29, 2022. Application to CUWiP is free. You can sign up for reminders here.
